Happy Happy Joy Joy!

We are so beyond excited to announce that the Supa Fresh Youth Farm has been awarded a $72,000 grant from the Oregon Department of Education’s Farm to School and School Garden program! These funds will be used to create an educational component at the farm that will provide more than 1300 T-TSD students with essential lessons in food, gardening and agriculture that will help them live healthier lives! Stay tuned for more updates!

Brenda and Katrin love their jobs!

What does this mean for the farm?

It means A LOT!  These funds will go a long way in creating new and improved program content that will serve 100s of Tigard and Tualatin students and build capacity for Supa Fresh so that it can continue these services for years to come.   We will be hiring for the Garden Educator position in April, and the job will start at the beginning of May.  Find the Garden Educator Job Posting here.

We can’t wait to meet the (future) newest member of our team!

AAAAAND….as if that news wasn’t enough fabulous, magical, stupendous, amazing, or life-affirming enough…

We got ANOTHER grant!  What? Yes!  The Whole Foods Market Whole Kids Foundation awarded Supa Fresh a $2000 grant to add plumbing, a water catchment system, and workspaces to our produce washing station. Thank you Whole Kids Foundation!  Your support is making a difference!

Here’s some outtakes from our little photo shoot, aka shenanigans.  😉

That’s all for now.  Until next time, see ya later tomater!  <3
