Our Fabulous Team

Katrin Dougherty

Program Director & Compost Queen

Katrin oversees the YouthSource program, including the Supa Fresh Youth Farm. Katrin co-founded the Supa Fresh Youth Farm in 2009 with Mia Bartlett to provide a safe-haven worksite and training ground to prepare youth interns to enter the workforce and to qualify for more advanced internships. She has over 17 years of experience teaching and empowering youth and has been gardening since she could walk.

She loves her work at the farm because not only does she get to lead and empower amazing young people to be successful in their careers and their lives, she also gets to grow delicious food for the community.

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” –Anne Frank

Growing up in Southern California, Shea was instilled with an appreciation for gardening and the outdoors that has turned into a personal and professional passion. Graduate school at Portland State University brought her to the Pacific Northwest, where she lives with her husband and a sassy chihuahua named Papa. She is honored to be a part of the Supa Fresh team, as she loves working with such a dedicated staff and inspiring youth crew. Outside of work, she can mostly be found geeking out about flowers, enjoying old timey hand crafts, annoying aforementioned chihuahua, and alternating between snacking and napping.

“If you aren’t in over your head, how do you know how tall you are?” –T.S. Eliot

Gwen Christopherson

Crew Lead

Gwen is from Salt Lake City, where they got a bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies from the University of Utah, worked with youth in environmental education and behavioral health settings and practiced as a licensed massage therapist. They are particularly interested in the ways earth systems and humans are interconnected, from mental health to art to social justice. At Supa Fresh, they love building meaningful relationships, learning cool farm skills and having fun. In their free time they swim, dance, sing, read, yap, and eat.

Originally from Seattle, Erin is PNW born and raised! Her bachelor’s in Psychology reinforces her enthusiasm for mental health, social justice, interpersonal connection, personal growth and community – which are also the reasons she loves working at YouthSource! She feels incredibly lucky to learn and work alongside such extraordinary, spunky, thoughtful, creative and kind youth and staff. Her joys outside of work include playing board games, meeting dogs, time with family, crocheting, yoga, Squishmallows and desserts! She typically requires one sweet treat a day to function.

Noah Riverman

Career Coach

Portland born and raised, Noah does a little bit of a lot of things! Their passion for teaching and the outdoors stems from their own teen years volunteering as a Student Leader with Outdoor School. Since then, they’ve continued to work with youth in a variety of contexts: from tutoring English language learners to advocating for youth in the foster system as a CASA. When they’re not helping youth figure out this whole “adulting” thing, they love frolicking in nature, playing D&D, generally needing out, and providing a warm lap for their little dog Lancelot McNugget.

“Be the person you needed when you were younger.” –Ayesha Siddiqi

Cristina was a youth intern at Supa Fresh from 2018 – 2020 and rejoined the team as a staff member in September 2024 after 2 years of community and education oriented work in TTSD. She’s so happy to be back on the farm and loves using her personal experience to connect with and support youth. Supa Fresh gave her all the skills she needed to succeed in the professional world. Mom of two small humans and one gentle giant (dog), Cristina spends her free time with her family. She also loves a good meme.
